Canterbury Trip

Thankyou Abi, Adenike & her mum, Arun, Desh, Julius, Mustafa, Nirmal & his family, Razak, Renni, YuFan and ZhiYi for all making our trip to Canterbury such a great day.

We arrived in beautiful sunshine and blue skies, though the day got very, very cold ❆❆❆

After walking together to the Cathedral, people divided in to smaller groups to explore the city.

Several of us met up at Notorious BRG for lunch ... the best burger in Canterbury 👍

A bit more wandering until we met back at the Cathedral for Evensong at 5:30pm.

Hospitality is a wonderful thing 💖  

It was such a privilege for Pauline and I to be invited to Akhil's place for a super scrumdidilyumptious Indian meal. Not only did it taste divine, but it was so professionally presented.  We felt like queens 👑👑

Going clockwise around the rice from 2pm  ...  green beans, chicken fried, chicken curry, dried seasoned beef, pickled plums & cucumber.

And for dessert, carrot halwa.

All so very, very tasty ... but apparently just one third of their normal spice level 😱😱😱
