Petanque

From one year to the next I never seem to be able to remember the rules of Petanque other than ...
1. throw the ball in the correct manner
2. aim to get a close to the cochonnet or 'jack'

Our team wasn't very good at obeying all the rules, such as changing direction each round, but we did get the hang of it and enjoyed our evening as the sun was going down.

Team Basel & Lynne graciously came last, but largely

because we didn't want to embarrass anyone else!!!!!!!!!!

Our evening was rounded off by a drink and some nibbles in the Ship & Trades pub :-)
