On a personal note ...

It's always good to be together as family and what better occasion than the wedding of my niece Heather to her beau, Damian.  I've managed to whittle down over 200 photos to just 50 for the sake of this entry.

Although I do love a church wedding, Stone Manor provided the most beautiful setting and, after a week of cold and rain, God blessed us with glorious weather!

My sister-in-law's mum, Barbara, with my dad, Bill.
The wedding was a small family and select friends affair which gave it such a lovely relaxed and intimate feeling.
My nephew James and his wife Lydia
The guests waited patiently for the arrival of the bride, the groom maybe not so patiently ...

Until we catch sight of the bride for the first time ...
Heather, you're really not supposed to run down the aisle!!!

After a wonderful and relaxed afternoon tea it was finally time for the speeches (Tony, you did just great!!!)

Relaxing in the garden between afternoon and evening receptions

Always wonderful to see my great-nephew ...  it just doesn't happen often enough. It was so noticeable this time how he has gone from that baby look to a little boy.

Having fun at the 'photo booth' ...

I cannot praise the
photographers, Simon & Sonia, from S2 Images enough. They spent a solid TEN HOURS taking photographs. They had smiles on their faces throughout and somehow just felt part of the 'family'. On their facebook page they wrote  ...
" Today's wedding was the most emotional wedding we have ever photographed. So much thoughtfulness and so much love.
We've both been in tears! To top it off the groom thanked us by name during his speech! And then (to top it off again) he got on the mic to say thanks as we were leaving, saying how much they loved us, having us leave the venue with everyone applauding us! We couldn't have felt anymore special.
Heather & Damian, you guys and your loved ones are truly special! We've had such an amazing day and you guys couldn't have made us love our job anymore!
We have no doubt that you guys will go far in your married lives together. We wish you nothing but happiness and success! And we feel truly honoured to have been beside you during such a special time in your lives."

A fnal note from Auntie Lynne ...
Dear Heather & Damian,
just want to say what a pleasure and privilege
it was to share in your special day.
Heather you've found yourself a good 'un
...  Praise God!!
Damian, I love you already.
You give great hugs!
Don't forget that I've booked your talents for my
60th birthday (still a few years to go yet).
Remember what I said  ...  treat Heather well
or I'll have to smash your face in :-)
I trust these words are prophetic ones for you
(that's the words below, not the ones above).
