downhill and by Friday it was supposed to be a day of drizzly rain. BUT we woke on Saturday morning to blue sky and sunshine. Yes, we were off to a good start so we headed straight for Joss Bay.
Whilst others of us were simply happy to soak up the sunshine and relax ...
Finally, it was time to eat. There was so much food we could've feed everyone at the beach!!!
YES ... the sun is still shining!!!
Aiste, Basim, Maureen & Leke braved the waters and went in for a swim. |
L to R: Basel, Aiste, Lien, Maureen, Lynne, Basim, Jon, Awad, Pauline, Pesila, Sue, Leke & Omar (oh dear ... we're missing Ahmad) |
With the tide on it's way out it was time for the students to go exploring (whilst the 'old folk' looked after all the bags) ...
But ... it was all about to change, as the black clouds rolled over. In true British-style though Jon declared, "We'll just ride it out, it'll soon pass." And so we sat, through thunder and lightning and torrential rain ... wondering if our umbrellas might act as lightning conductors!
"Thank you for continuously bringing fun to us. It was an amazing beach trip (company, food and everything) ^_^" Ahmad
After taking shelter for a while the students braved the rain and returned to Joss, all looking like the proverbial 'drowned rats'. It was a case of everyone grab a bag and head for the cars!!
"The trip to the beach was awesome.
I really enjoyed the day even the rain.
It was marvelous!!
Thanks for organizing a trip like this." Awad
