Hopes & Dreams Tree

There have been many beautifully decorated Christmas trees around campus, so this year we decided to have a Hopes & Dreams tree outside Chaplaincy.

This proved very popular and just over 180 students wrote their responses on to our speech bubbles.

Below I have picked out and photographed a selection of those responses, which make for some lovely reading 💖💖💖

TABLEtalk Christmas Party

A great time was had by all last night at our

TABLEtalk Christmas Party.

Food, Fun & Friendship were the order of the day 😀

We ate Thai & Chinese and traditional Christmas desserts.

We played pass the parcel with some surprise challenges.

We exchanged gifts with our Left/Right story.

Then finally, we had lots of laughs playing

Canterbury Trip

Despite all the threats of Storm Darragh, our trip to Canterbury went ahead with 22 adults and two children.

I'd been concerned that the trains might be affected, but the whole day ran very smoothly.  For the most part the weather was much milder than we had expected and students were still keen to enjoy all that Canterbury had to offer.

My first port of call for the day, was brunch in MacDonalds
with Sushmitha, Jacob, Gulakshitha, Abi and Desh (photographer).  It's not a place I usually frequently, but when students are MacDonalds' employees and can get you a lovely discount  ...  well 😀

"Thank you, mam. It's all because of your love we are enjoying our time."  Alice

"Thank you, mam, because of you I enjoyed today."

Ushma

"Thanks so much, Lynne. We had a wonderful time in Canterbury today."  Jacinta
