It's all too sad :-(

Joyce, Vino, me and Anu
"Thank you, Anu, for all your help and encouragement over
the past year, thank you for your constant willingness to
volunteer, thanks for all your amazing photographs - so
many of which are shared in this blog.
You will be sorely missed!!
Thanks too for coffee out today :-)  Glad the
'flower urinals' in Dobbies made you smile :-)
It's a good job we didn't break any of Dobbies' mugs taking these pics!
Anu took the easy option, we would've needed the help of
half of TABLEtalk to use his full name -

World Cafe

This is my new friend, 'Nishyank the Ever-Ready'. I have formally given him that title because wherever he goes he's always ready with his trusty camera.  In the coming year I don't think a week will go by that I'll be short of photos to add to our blog :-)

Here are several pics from the last two weeks at the World Cafe.

Sadly today was Anu's last day at the World Cafe.
He's going to be sorely missed :-(

Then it was time to put all those ideas and theories into practice. Each group was given a packet of marshmallows and some spaghetti and their task was to build the tallest, free-standing tower within a 15 minute time restriction. Of course, any team with a civil engineer in their group were lucky.
See pics below of what each group produced ...

Bring & Share @ Lynne's

I always enjoy hosting students in my home through our Sunday Lunch Scheme, but our occasional Bring & Share Lunches have a life all of their own.

It's wonderful to see students of so many nationalities eating, socialising, laughing together and learning from each other. I take great pleasure in seeing friendships forming; many of which will stand the tests of time and distance.

As well as friendships forming, our Bring & Share Lunches are nothing short of an international food-fest.  If these photos don't make your mouth water, nothing will ...
