Our film night yesterday was all things dinosaur!! We were a small and select group, but Arshad and Aiste rose to the challenge of my pre-film activity of making their own dinosaur (with thanks to many at St Mark's who donated boxes, tubing, etc).

Here is the finished creation along with two very proud creators ...
This marvellous creation has been most aptly named -               a Wall-e-saurus!!!
I can't help thinking that Arshad & Aiste look frightening whilst
wall-e-saurus seems bemused by the whole affair :-)

Questions to contemplate

Questions to contemplate ...

Why does the sun lighten our hair but darken our skin?

Why can't women put on mascara without their mouth closed?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavouring, but washing-up liquid is made with real lemons?

Why do we never see the headline
"Psychic wins lottery"?

Who tastes dog food when the makers claim it has a 'new and improved' flavour?

On a personal note ...

Not long returned from 10 lovely days in and around Hastings, on the south coast of England.  My Dad and I were extremely fortunate with the weather which was almost constant sunshine!
We were both pleased with the pleasant view from our caravan :-)
We visited Hastings, Rye, Pevensey, Eastbourne, Battle, the observatory & science centre @ Herstmonceux and Bodiam Castle.
The 'TV home' of DCS Foyle from Foyle's War

I walked up this stoney beach bare foot, saying "oow, oow, oow"
all the way, much to the amusement of a couple enjoying the sunshine.

Bodiam Castle
"Welcome to my home."

Here are a few panoramic shots ...
Hastings beach
Camber Sands
Hastings Old Town
Pevensey Bay
Beachy Head, part of the Seven Sisters
View from the top of Bodiam Castle
... and a spot of nature.

Amongst other things we also conquered three jigsaw puzzles; the Grand Canyon one was most definitely the biggest challenge!!
