HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

As a Christian, Christmas and Easter are the most significant times of the year for me. Special times to consider my faith and all that I believe; as well as all that I believe God has called me to.

Whilst writing this I am considering some possible changes in the road ahead and genuinely asking God to keep me on His path for my life.

My hope and prayer for you too, dear friends around the world, is that whatever shape your own faith journey takes, you will know the love and peace of God this season. That you would experience his leading in your life in a tangible way. And that, whatever the path ahead of you looks like, be it smooth or rocky, you will know his strength and grace in a very real way.

Christmas Ball

Had a marvellous time last night at the Faculty of Science & Engineering Christmas Ball  ... ate far too much and danced til my knees were sore (doesn't take long these days!!).
A welcome from the PVC,
Martin Snowden

Here I am with all the usual suspects ...

TABLEtalk Christmas Party

The last TABLEtalk of 2016  ...  our Christmas Party.
We had a fun evening of games and food and singing and of course the all important gift exchange :-)

Our evening began with a game of Pass the Parcel ... hmmmmm, what might you find within each layer?  Maybe a small gift?  Or maybe a forfeit?
Amira had to stand on one leg until the next
layer of wrapping came off.
I told the students not to worry, all the forfeits were things I would be willing to do myself. For some reason they said that was no comfort!!

Clement had to wear a wig until the whole
game was over.

Aiste hopped around the circle whilst the
game continued - don't worry, only
once round.

I'm loving my new Christmas jumper  ... actually the first Christmas jumper I've ever owned!

Once we'd worked up an appetite it was time for food. BIG THANK YOU to Roy & Jane, Daria and Acsha who came early to help out.

It is good to give God thanks for food and friends, and also to remember those around the world who are less fortunate than we are.
Why is Clement still wearing the wig?

Food was followed by a time of Carol singing. Very much a Christian expression but people were willing
to join in.

And finally  ...  time for Santa Leke to help with our gift exchange.

One last game of musical islands. Marvellous, I've survived another Christmas Party without a trip to A&E!!

All in all, it was a great evening.
Thanks to everyone who came.
