Had a fabulous day out yesterday :-) My great friend, Pauline, and I took a day trip to Bruges, Belgium. A looooooong day ... up at 5:30am and finally went back to bed just after midnight.
Not only my first time in Bruges, but my first time ever on the Channel tunnel.
After time exploring the streets of the town and the Christmas market we enjoyed a wonderful meal of pate, followed by Flemish stew and fries. Truly scrumptious!!
We'd taken such an enjoyable and leisurely meal it was too late to go up the Belfry Tower but we did enjoy a canal tour in the dark.
