It's always fun to recognise various cultural events at the World Cafe and yesterday saw us celebrating Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights.I'm always looking for an excuse to wear my Salwar Kameez.
Thank you to all those who arrived early to help decorate the student support area - it looked fab!!!
In addition to our usual array of cake and biscuits we also served samosas and onion bhajis.
Thanks also go to Leesa and friends who blessed lots of the girls with beautiful henna tattoes.
All the event was missing was some good Bollywood sounds! Though Anu and I had a brief attempt at the 'light-bulb' dance :-)
