Bargain Corner update

At the start of each academic year we are able to fully display our Bargain Corner in Pilkington building, for which we are extremely grateful.  Not only does this introduce new students to the service of the Bargain Corner and to Chaplaincy itself; it is often, also, a nudge to both students and staff that we take donations all year round ๐Ÿ˜€

Within our first three weeks of the academic year,
we sold 1,728 through our Bargain Corner.
Serving students and preventing stuff going to landfill.

Reality is this intense start to the new year would not be possible without a small army of volunteers, who generously give of their time and energy in serving people.  I would like to say A VERY HUGE THANK YOU to Adenike, Arun, Denise, Frank, Himadri. Kalhari, Neha, Nirmal, Nonso, Pauline and Zhi Yi.  Especially to those who helped keep the Bargain Corner functioning when I was off sick๐Ÿ’–

A super special thank you goes to Adenike who spent several hours completely re-arranging my books in to alphabetical order (by surname). It all looks so nicely presented now and I'm trying my best to keep it that way.
The money we raise through the Bargain Corner goes towards subsidising Chaplaincy activities. So, be on the lookout for our Rochester trip and Quiz Trail at the end of October and our Canterbury trip late November.

NOTE:
We hope to run a Winter Clothing sales in the last week of October, so watch for further details.
