Picnic & Walk at Lesnes Abbey Woods

Lesnes Abbey is such a lovely place to take students, especially when the weather is so favourable.

Fourteen adults and four children travelled from Gillingham to Lesnes Abbey, where we met, and were hosted by, my friend and colleague, Kirsten.

After our brief history lesson, some walked around the Abbey ruins, some went for coffee and, some waited with all the bags for our enjoyable picnic together.  There was soooooo much food  ...  Nigerian, Sri Lankan, and the predictable English fare.  Lots of sharing and tasting, and making our bags lighter for our walk through the woods.

We managed not to lose
anyone in the woods,
though it was a close call 😟

Our time ended in a fabulous playground where, strangely, I only seem to have photos of adults enjoying themselves 😃😃😃  There was also ice cream 🍦🍦🍦

A really BIG THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for the day, especially Kirsten. Really hope you enjoyed it as much as I did 😀
