Sticks & Stones Festival

On Saturday, myself, Sushmitha, Vinuli, Abi, Desh, Christina, Alick, plus Chanaka and his family, all enjoyed several hours hanging out at the Sticks & Stones Festival on campus. The weather was perfect and time was spent exploring the stalls, holding snakes, getting crafty, listening to music, having a go at the climbing wall (not me!!), eating ice cream (yes, me!).

I hope Sachini didn't get
left here for too long!
Some excellent art work by Sayumlee 💕

I do so love our student community!
Abi & Desh really wanted to try the climbing
wall but they were both wearing croc sandals 😞
However, Chanaka & Sachini were willing to
switch shoes for half an hour!!

Abi was surprised by the amount and variety of information and entertainment. She phoned around her friends to say, "COME!"   She also said,
"Thank you for taking us to this event, I really enjoyed everything there. It was beyond my expectations. I enjoyed playing netball, it was so much fun. Even though I missed the face-painting (the queue was too long) I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for the icecream, for making us climb!! For the shoe swop!!  And the very best part was a FREE bike 🚴"

Vinuli said, "For a moment I was living again my childhood days!  This event brought a lot of adventurous moments and a first-time experience, like touching a real snake. Very cool event!"
