VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

The new academic year is just around the corner and there are several events coming up, at which I would appreciate some extra helping hands, especially those who can tell new students about TABLEtalk and our World Cafe.

If you can help - please volunteer SOON!!!

Wednesday - Sept 13th

1:30pm - 2:30pm

Discussion Groups as part of Greenwich International Orientation Day

...  to help lead 30 minute discussion

groups with new students, promoting

TABLEtalk, World Cafe, etc and

helping to answer questions.

4-6 volunteers needed

Saturday - Sept 16th

9:30am - 4:30pm

Accommodations Welcome Café

...  to assist Frank in serving refreshments

to new students & their families,

outside Merlin accommodation block.

2 volunteers (or 4 if people

only want to do a half day)

Saturday - Sept 16th

9:30am - 4:30pm

Faith Space

...  to help man the Faith Space in Pilkington

as part of campus tours. Telling people how

the space is used and helping to promote

chaplaincy activities, such as TABLEtalk,

World Cafe, etc

2 volunteers (or 4 if people

only want to do a half day)

Saturday - Sept 16th

9:30am - 4:30pm

Bric-a-Brac Shop

...  to assist in having our Bric-a-Brac shop

open for most of the day, so that students can

either begin shopping or simply find out more

about what's available.

1-2 volunteers (or 3-4 if people

only what to do part of the day)

PLEASE NOTE

that I will be on campus all day on

Saturday, Sept 16th but will need to

circulate around all the above activities.

Friday, Sept 29th

3:30pm - 6pm

Tea & Scones & Games

with the Chaplain

...  a time of welcome with refreshments

for new students. An opportunity to tell

more about TABLEtalk, World Cafe,

Bric-a-Brac, etc

4-5 volunteers

Tuesday, Oct 10th

10:30am - 2pm

World Mental Health Day

...  helping wherever required to interact with

students and point them in the direction

of the various activities.
